What to Expect on the Call

The person who answers knows drywall. We ask where the damage is, how large it is and how it happened. A hole from a doorknob is a fast patch. A ceiling sagging after a leak is a bigger job, and we want to hear that at the start. If the cause hasn't stopped, such as a drip that keeps returning, we will ask you to get it fixed first so the new drywall holds up.

Next we pick a time to come see it. You hear who will show up and about how long the job will run. On the day, drop cloths go down and the floor is covered from the door to the work spot, and the mess stays in that room. If something different turns up once a wall is opened, we pause and talk with you before going on. Your house still feels like your house while we are there.

Have These Ready Before You Call

1. The room and the spot, such as a hallway wall or the ceiling over the tub.
2. A rough size of the damage, even if it is just compared to your hand or a sheet of paper.
3. What caused it, if you know, like a leak, a move, a settled crack or an old repair that keeps showing.
4. Whether you rent, own or manage the place, so we know who needs to approve the work.
